Police launch urgent hunt for non-verbal boy, 6, in London
Police in south London have launched an urgent appeal for a six-year-old boy who went missing this afternoon.
The schoolboy, called Ishmael, is non-verbal, and officers said he was last seen going into the Brixton underground station just before 1pm.
In the most recent image of the boy, captured on CCTV, he is wearing a bucket hat, blue top, grey tracksuit bottoms, and blue shoes.
London Fire Brigade and Transport for London are assisting officers in the search.
Lambeth Police said on Twitter: ‘Help us find #Missing Ishmael. He is six years old and non-verbal.
‘Our search is ongoing. CCTV last shows him entering the underground at Brixton at 12:48.
‘If you see him please ring 999 or approach an officer immediately, quoting CAD 3319/07MAY23.’
