Police launch desperate investigation after child dies in play park
A child has died at Clifton Park in South Yorkshire, with police reportedly launching an investigation. Emergency services rushed to the scene on Doncaster Road in Rotherham at around 4pm on Easter Sunday. Yorkshire Air Ambulance raced to the park but despite their best efforts, the child tragically died.
There was a significant amount of police activity at the park, including an area that was cordoned off, The Mirror has reported.
A police spokesperson reportedly confirmed that the child’s death is not being treated as suspicious, according to the newspaper.
Express.co.uk has contacted South Yorkshire Police for comment.
Clifton Park is described on its website as a popular location for family and friends.
