Police hunt for Gucci bag stolen from man who was stabbed to death
Detectives are searching for a Gucci bag that was stolen from a man who was stabbed to death in south London.
Tyler Roye, 24, died after being knifed near the Arena tram stop in Croydon on 26 February, according to Scotland Yard.
He was found shortly after midnight suffering from stab wounds and was taken to hospital, but died from his injuries at 2.46am.
A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as stab wounds to the chest.
Police have issued a statement appealing for help from the public to trace the missing messenger bag that was stolen from Mr Roye on the night of his death.
It said: “The bag is distinctive in style, of the Gucci brand, in a ‘Bengal tiger’ print.”
Sam Odupitan, 23, of Croydon, has been charged with Mr Roye’s murder as well as with two counts of robbery. He remains in custody.
