Police appeal over ‘street fight involving bats and poles’ in Nottingham

Police are appealing for witnesses following reports of a street fight with weapons in Nottingham.

It is thought one person was injured and that bats and poles were used during the attack in Northdown Road, Aspley, on 11 May at around 4pm.

The individuals involved are believed to have travelled in different vehicles, including a black taxi, a grey Audi and a silver Volkswagen Passat.

Nottinghamshire Police has released four images and said officers want to speak to the people pictured about the incident.

Detective Sergeant Chris Berryman said: “We are urging anyone who witnessed what happened or anyone who recognises any of the people pictured to please come forward and let us know, as this will help us piece together how this disorder came about.

“This type of violence won’t be tolerated and we will do all we can to investigate this incident thoroughly and see that the culprits are dealt with accordingly.

“We believe that the people involved travelled in a number of vehicles, including a black taxi, a grey Audi and silver Volkswagen Passat as pictured.

“If you recognise them or recall seeing them in the area around the time of the incident, then please get in touch, as you may have information that could help our investigation.”
