A huge fire has broken out in west London not far from Heathrow airport.

London Fire Brigade said eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters have been called to the blaze on Tachbrook Road, Southall.

It is understood the blaze may be a garage fire that has spread to a house.

Images of the fire and the vast cloud of black smoke it has caused have been widely shared on social media.
