Pink Floyd and Blur stars’ anti-Brexit song turning Remainers into Leavers
The lefty musicians have made a video with ‘EU Supergirl’ Madeleina Kay, 25, who helped organise the ‘B******s to Brexit’ bus.
As well as calling for Britons to turn their backs on Brexit the song, We Will Not Go Down Without a Fight, predictably calls for a second referendum.
Lyrics include: “It’s time to speak again. It’s time to challenge them. It’s time to make amends. This time we keep our friends.”
The video led to hundreds of comments on Twitter as Remain voters joked it had swayed their opinion.
James Doherty replied: “I just went from ardent remainer to no deal advocator after watching this video.
“Jesus wept.”
And another called Phil said: “Thank you for further strengthening my resolve that we should leave the EU.”
Alan White added: “Weird, turns out I’ve actually wanted a no deal Brexit all along.”
Jack Faulkener joked: “Right, I’m joining Vote Leave.”
Another Twitter user Danielle said: “Anyone defending or encouraging this behaviour should be on a watch list.”
Martin posted: “I think I want a no deal brexit now.” And Katie tweeted: “Changed my mind can we have a hard Brexit.”
Since the video was posted on April 1, it has been viewed over 220,000 times.
Some die-hard fans defended the track with supporters calling for the song to be Britain’s entry for Eurovision.
Steve said: “Love this new song! You have more strength and resolve and ability than any of the nasty trolls.
“Thanks for being out there every day making the case for the benefits of our membership in such an engaging and unique way.”
