Piers Morgan urges ‘unchallenged’ Scobie onto his show but author wades in
Piers Morgan has urged royal author Omid Scobie to appear on his show – but a fellow activist author has said he’s “desperate for ratings”. The spat erupted on X – with journalist and TV host Morgan laying down the gauntlet to Scobie who is embroiled in the controversial naming of two “racist” royals in his new book Endgame.
Morgan said: “Hi @scobie – rather than appearing on shows where you get to spew your bullsh*t unchallenged, come on @PiersUncensored tonight and we can clear the air about your unfortunate ‘accidental’ naming of the two royals your heroine Ms Markle said made racist remarks about her baby.”
But fellow author Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu – a political and woman’s rights activist – warned Scobie to ignore Morgan’s invite saying it was a ploy to boost his ratings.
Dr Mos-Shogbamimu retaliated to Morgan’s challenge on the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

She said: “My dear @scobie Piers needs you you don’t need him. He’s desperate for ratings which is why he revealed names of alleged Royal Racists to create fodder against Meghan Markle not for nuanced debate on @PiersUncensored. He can’t debate nuance.”
Dr Mos-Shogbamimu, who is also a lawyer, added: “Don’t give @piersmorgan satisfaction.”
The row erupted when the royals were reportedly named in the Dutch version of Scobie’s book after a translation error, which Piers slated during his evening talk show on TalkTV earlier this week.
Morgan revealed paparazzi were waiting outside of Scobie’s home and issued them a cheeky warning.

Endgame was originally due to be published in August but the date was pushed back so as to include events surrounding the King’s Coronation.
Publisher HarperCollins has said the book will “have the world talking” and so far has grabbed headlines with royal revelation after revelation.
Other claims in the book include criticism of Sophie the Duchess of Edinburgh who Scobie says joined Princess Kate in ignoring Meghan at Queen Elizabeth’s funeral.
He said that Sophie “noticeably” appeared to give the cold shoulder to the Duchess of Sussex alongside Princess Kate and Queen Camilla in the book that was released on Tuesday, November 28.
