Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly put on a united front at Cheltenham Festival after split

The Queen’s grandson and his Canadian-born wife were seen arriving at the racecourse together on Tuesday. Just a month after they announced their shock decision to part ways, the pair looked at ease in each other’s company as they enjoyed a day of racing. Autumn, 41, wore a black trousers and a black pussybow blouse underneath a khaki tweet jacket by Really Wild.

She topped off her look with a classy black hat with green flowers.

Peter, 42, donned a blue suit and striped red tie.

The couple live on the nearby Gatcombe Park Estate with their daughters Savannah, nine, and seven-year-old Isla.

They were pictured watching the races from a balcony alongside Princess Anne and other race-goers.

Anne, 69, wore a camel coloured jacket, a cream scarf and a black and green hat.

She was pictured laughing with her daughter-in-law Autumn as the two watched the action.

Peter’s younger sister Zara Tindall was also there to join in on the fun.

Peter and Autumn announced their intention to divorce in February.

A statement issued on behalf of the couple read: “After informing HM The Queen and members of both families last year, Peter and Autumn jointly agreed to separate.

“They had reached the conclusion that this was the best course of action for their two children and ongoing friendship.

“The decision to divorce and share custody came about after many months of discussions and although sad, is an amicable one.

“The couple’s first priority will remain the continued well being and upbringing of their wonderful daughters Savannah (nine) and Isla (seven).

“Both families were naturally sad at the announcement, but fully supportive of Peter and Autumn in the joint decision to co-parent their children.

“Both Peter and Autumn have remained in Gloucestershire to bring up their two children where they have been settled for a number of years.

“Peter and Autumn have requested privacy and compassion for their children while the family continues to adapt to these changes.”

The couple met at the 2003 Canadian Grand Prix where they both were working.

Autumn didn’t know Peter was the Queen’s grandchild until six weeks into their relationship when she recognised him on television.

She moved to the UK and the couple wed in 2008 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

The bride wore a dress designed by Sassi Halford.

Anne lent her new daughter-in-law her diamond Festoon Tiara for the special occasion.
