Tory MP Peter Bone furiously branded Dominic Cummings a “completely discredited” person after allegedly attempting to fabricate a story regarding a drinks part held in the garden at Nr 10 Downing Street. Mr Bone stressed that people should not believe anything he says and if anyone hesitates who they should believe between Boris Johnson and the former Chief advisor it should be the Prime Minister each day of the week. Mr Cummings today revealed that Mr Johnson was warned beforehand about the event nearly two years, dismissing his suggestions that he thought it was work-related.
Mr Cummings turned the screw on Mr Johnson, writing on Twitter today that the “PM was told about the invite, he knew it was a drinks party, he lied to parliament.”
But Mr Bone doesn’t believe a word he says and after a wealth of high-profile accusations, he has lost all credibility in his eyes.
In an interview with Sky News, the Tory MP for Wellingborough said: “No member of the House of Commons should lie to Parliament!
“[But] I don’t believe a word that Dominic Cummings says about anything.

“When he went to Barnard Castle to test his eye sight.
“He is completely discredited and I am afraid if it’s a question of believing the Prime Minister or Dominic Cummings it must be the Prime Minister every time.”
Boris Johnson grilled on 'ridiculous' defence of May party
Responding to questions from reporters this morning, Mr Johnson denied that he knew beforehand that a gathering was about to take place.
But his comments stand in stark contrast to those of Mr Cummings, who declared that he refused to cancel the party despite knowing well in advance about it.
Asked whether Mr Johnson should step down if it was proven he had lied to parliament, Chancellor Rishi Sunak said that people should let Sue Gray investigate into the allegations before jumping to any sort of conclusion.
He said:”I’m not going to get into hypotheticals. The ministerial code is clear on these matters.

“But as you know, Sue Gray is conducting an inquiry into the situation. I think it’s right that we allow her to conclude that job.”
Deputy leader Angela Rayner stressed that Mr Johnson knows that his days are numbered and there’s no way back.
She said that he “clearly knows it’s the end of the road”.
“He’s the prime minister, he set the rules, he didn’t need anyone to tell him that the party he attended broke them.”
“If he had any respect for the British public, he would do the decent thing and resign.”
