Thousands of spectators got off their vehicles and left them on slip roads to watch the hearse carrying the Queen’s body, bound for Buckingham Palace, pasing by. Footage shows a line of onlookers on the side of the road, staring at the Queen’s coffin on board the hearse. The line of people can be seen stretching from one end to the other of the road.

Ater landing at RAF Northolt in West London, the Queen’s coffin travelled on the A40 towards Buckingham Palace. 

The coffin is transported on a state hearse, accompanied by Anne and Vice-Admiral Sir Tim, to Buckingham Palace.

Its route will be via the A40, Eastbourne Terrace, Lancaster Gate, Bayswater Road, Marble Arch, Park Lane, Hyde Park Corner and Constitution Hill.

Twitter users reacted to the video, branding the historic moment.

“So historic,” Gary Wilkins said with a British flag.

“Such a beloved woman! God’s blessings on her Majesty the Queen of England!!!” RP Delre exclaimed.

Royal Central branded the sight “extraordinary”

The Queen was lying in state at St Giles’ Cathedral on Edinburgh’s High Street for 24 hours from 5 pm on Monday until 5pm on Tuesday. 

Her coffin was then transported from the Cathedral to Edinburgh airport where the coffin was flown to west London. 

The coffin is now transported on a state hearse, accompanied by Anne and Vice-Admiral Sir Tim, to Buckingham Palace.

King Charles and and Queen Consort, as well as the Prince and Princess of Wales, will be waiting to receive the coffin at Buckingham Palace. 

The Queen’s coffin will rest in the Bow Room overnight. 

On Wednesday, the Queen’s coffin will be carried on a gun carriage of the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery, with the King and members of the Royal Family walking behind.

The coffin will leave Buckingham Palace for Westminster Hall, passing by St James’ Park, The Mall, Horse Guards Parade and Whitehall.
