Peerages 2020 list: Theresa May’s husband Philip among honours nominations – FULL LIST

Edward Lister, Former Brexit Party MEP Claire Fox, Dame Louise Casey, and DUP’s Nigel Dodds are also mong the list of people due to be given a peerage, a list of nominations published on Friday showed. The suite of Brexiteers set for the Lords also includes ex-England cricket player and Brexit supporter Sir Ian Botham. While Theresa May’s husband is also to be awarded a peerage for ‘political service’, along with fellow remainers Philip Hammond and Ken Calrke who will also make their way to the House of Lords.

Howeveer, former speaker John Bercow has missed out on the top awards once again.

And former Labour deputy leader Tom Watson was also snubbed from the list, which includes numerous former MPs who rebelled against the Labour position to back Brexit, including Kate Hoey, Ian Austin, and Gisela Stuart.

The Queen has also chosen to honour Lonodn councillor Raymond Puddifoot for services to the London Borough of Hillingdon.
