Peckish thief pinches driver's Greggs sausage roll through open car window

A man has found out the hard way what happens when you leave a Greggs sausage roll unattended.

Dean Morris was left hangry and slightly confused when a thief ignored the valuables in his car and instead went straight for a freshly bought sausage roll.

The cinema worker was visiting his grandmother in Llanellli, South Wales, when he parked outside without closing his car window.

The 27-year-old estimated he only spent a few minutes away from his vehicle before returning to realise he had left the window open.

But during that time someone had reached in to grab the Greggs sausage roll he had bought earlier – leaving just the empty paper bag behind.

Dean said he was ‘fuming’ when he discovered his snack had been pilfered.

‘Someone had seen my car was open, opened my car door, seen all of the important stuff in my car and thought, “You know what? I’m gonna have his lonesome sausage roll”,’ he said.

‘I know I should be relieved that no one stole any important stuff. But this sausage roll was important to me.

‘I was looking forward to it. It’s so typical of Llanelli.’

Dean said he had decided not to report the incident to the police.

‘I was only in a few minutes so it was a very swift sausage roll stealer. I think if I reported it I might get arrested for wasting police time,’ he added.
