Paw Patrol entertainers beaten up by children at four-year-old's birthday party
Three children’s entertainers claim they were attacked while dressed as Paw Patrol characters at a birthday party for a four-year-old.
Ebonie Gooding, 28, from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, was booked along with her sister Tamara, 29, and her cousin Rosie Trumpet, 31, to entertain at the party in Little Billington, near Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire.
They were dressed as the characters Chase, Marshall and Skye from Channel 5’s show Paw Patrol.
The three women say that upon arrival to the venue on Sunday, dressed in costume, they were attacked by a group of primary-school aged children who kicked and punched them, MailOnline reports.
Ebonie said: ‘We kept doing crying gestures to get them to calm down.
‘No one was controlling them and they were just being allowed to attack us.’
In the attack, Ebonie said she had the head from her costume pulled down so that she couldn’t see, while the head on Rosie’s costume was taken clean off by the children.
Ebonie also claimed in the Sun that the children yelled racist abuse throughout the attack.
The women say they tried to leave the party and reach their car, but the gates to the caravan park were closed.
The entertainers had been booked at a fee of £400, but the birthday boy’s parents reportedly demanded they receive their £80 deposit back.
Eventually the police were called and three riot vans and three police cars arrived at the scene, with eight officers in tow.
Mum-of-one Ebonie, who claims she is still owed £320, said it had been ‘the worst birthday party she had ever been to’.
A spokesperson from Bedfordshire Police said: ‘We were called at around 5.15pm on Sunday to reports of an incident in Gypsy Lane, Little Billington.
‘Eight police officers in total attended and escorted a number of people off the premises.
‘Subsequent investigations have been launched into allegations of criminal damage, assault, threats to cause criminal damage and a public order offence.’
