Only those with a high IQ can spot hidden word in this brainteaser in 20 seconds

Brainteasers are a proven way to test your brain’s capability, with the more puzzling challenging people’s IQ’s the most. And the more you complete, the easier they should be over time – with practice helping to strengthen the brain.

The latest brainteaser has left puzzlers scratching their heads as they attempt to find the word ‘park’ amongst the sea of ‘dark’ in 20 seconds. For some people, it might be easy but for others, it can take a while to spot the hidden ‘park’.

Despite sounding simple, some brainteaser lovers have been left baffled by the challenge.

Why not get the children involved? Brain teasers are proven to help stimulate a child’s cognitive abilities, as well as assisting them in improving their ability to stay focused on one task. Brain teasers are activities that allow you to think outside of the box to find the solution.

It’s fairly hard to spot the ‘park’ when it’s surrounded by the word ‘dark’, but if you split the image into columns you should be able to find the hidden word. If you still haven’t found it, glance your eyes over to the third column from the right.

The word ‘park’ is sitting five words down. Did you manage to find it? And more importantly, did you manage to find it within the 20-second time limit?

The more you practice over time, the better you will be. Why not try another brainteaser to challenge yourself even more? This puzzle tests how fast you can find Queen Elizabeth II – with those with high IQs said to be able to spot her in less than 10 seconds.

The brainteaser features a number of popular London icons – including traditional black cabs, red phone boxes, the Queen’s guards and famous London buildings.

Doing a brain teaser or regularly trying out some brain games helps. They’re not just fun to do alone or with friends, but they also give the brain a serious workout. Playing brain games or doing a brain teaser or two helps reinforce the connections between brain cells. Brain games require you to remember patterns and shapes, boosting memory. Brain teasers that keep you challenged can increase cognitive function.
