Omid Scobie proves he’s not ‘Meg’s pal’ by making bizarre criticism of Sussexes
Prince Harry was ‘collateral damage’ says Omid Scobie
Omid Scobie has blasted claims that he’s Meghan Markle’s pal by giving her and Prince Harry some very weird criticism.
Speaking to The Evening Standard about his newly released book Endgame, the author said he’s “very tired of the ‘Meg’s pal’ stuff”.
He stated: “I feel like it’s a force that I can’t even stop… no matter how many times I explain that I’m not her friend… there’s always going to be a million people still calling me ‘Meg’s pal’.”
Scobie is currently on the US West Coast promoting his book, however, he stressed he is not visiting the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
“I’m not out here and in California living in Montecito, all of that is just complete nonsense,” he said. “The reality is that there’s no friendship there.”

But the much-talked-about author also gave some bizarre criticism to the couple.
Challenged to prove his point of not being friends with the Sussexes, Scobie described the pair as “impatient” and a “couple that ran hot”, which, he claimed, didn’t help negotiations about them leaving the Royal Family.
He also said he would recommend to Harry not to travel on private jets while championing a sustainable travel initiative.
Commenting on his sources, the author claimed he didn’t get his facts from Harry and Meghan as “there’s enough people around them and in their orbit who know the ins and outs of things.”

Scobie went on to blast the “unfair treatment” that he’s getting and claimed he doesn’t get credit for his “great reporting” he gets from his sources, while he also admitted that there have been briefings from team Sussex as well.
Endgame is a self-proclaimed “investigation” into the current state of the British monarchy, comprising “an unpopular king, a power-hungry heir to the throne, a queen willing to go to dangerous lengths to preserve her image, and a prince forced to start a new life after being betrayed by his own family,” according to the synopsis.
The book also tackles the severity of whether the Royal Family is in “terminal decline”.
Scobie said: “Perhaps the end of the monarchy as we know it is at stake.”
The author claimed that he’s drawn to “injustice” and wants to point out the royals’ hypocrisy as they try to pretend to be the “perfect example of traditional values, family values” while not treating each other very well.
