NHS nurses throughout the UK have voted to strike in the first ever nationwide action in a row over pay and staff shortages. The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) urged more than 300,000 members to vote for strike action in the union’s biggest strike ballot. This nationwide strike will be the first of its kind in the union’s 106-year history and could take place over the coming weeks and possibly throughout Christmas.
