The fuming responses come after the Duchess of Sussex phoned the private phone numbers of some US Senators. Meghan has reportedly lobbied US Republican politicians to push them to put forward certain parental leave and climate change policies at the government level. The Duchess of Sussex reportedly phoned two senators, Shelley Moore Capito and Susan Collins, on a withheld number and told them who she was when they answered.

However, US citizens reacted on Twitter to the Duchess of Sussex’s interference in the US political world.

A Twitter user called Proud Army Brat wrote: “No one in America gives a shit about Meghan Markle, Harry, or Charles.

“In America, they’re no one special at all.”

Another Twitter user called Dr Red Wave reacted to the above tweet by saying, “spot on.”

Another response from Twitter user Barbarajcfstated: “Yes and I am tired of hearing about these two especially Meghan.

“She wanted to come back to America to get out of the public eye and now she jumps at every opportunity to be in the public eye of America.

“Just sickening!”

Princess Anne celebrates 50-year landmark working with horses

The Royal Family’s official Instagram account put the focus on the Princess Royal as she celebrated half a century of work for the RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association).

According to The Firm, Anne became a patron of the organisation in 1971, before moving to President in 1985.

The RDA is a charity that connects people living with a disability to horses.

“With fun activities like riding and carriage driving, we provide therapy, fitness, skills development and opportunities for achievement – all supported by 18,000 amazing volunteers and qualified coaches at nearly 500 RDA centres all over the UK,” their website says.

The charity marked Princess Anne’s 50-year tenure by giving her name to their new program.

“The new Princess Royal Coaching Academy was launched today, which will enable the RDA to improve learning opportunities for their coaches,” explained the Royal Family account on Instagram.

William and Kate won’t move anytime soon says expert

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge currently split their time between an apartment in Kensington Palace and Anmer Hall, Norfolk.

It is in the latter residence where they spent the third lockdown. In recent years, much speculation has surrounded where they might permanently move their family of five.

While many claim the Cambridges could imminently move into the home, Marlene Koenig, a royal historian, argued that it would make no sense for the family to move far out of central London.

She told Express.co.uk: “You have people saying William and Kate are going to move to Windsor, and I’m like ‘Why?’

“They already have a large apartment in Kensington Palace.

“They’re not going to move to Fort Belvedere — why would they do that

“They might have a little place when Charles is King.

“But there’s no need.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s use of private jets ridiculed on TV amid net-zero pledge

Sky News Australia’s Alan Jones tore into the California-based pair after a string of comments the couple have issue about climate change, alongside an appearance at climate concert Global Citizen in New York, which saw the Duke and Duchess of Sussex depart on a private jet back to their £11million mansion in Montecito.

Speaking on Friday Mr Jones slammed “you need ear plugs for whenever this mob speak” about climate change.

He went on to address the news that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have pledged that Archewell, their foundation which includes charitable and business activities, will go net-zero by 2030.

The Aussie anchor slammed: “Was this the same Prince Harry who was caught two months ago taking a private jet home from a polo match?

“And what about the time he stayed at the Google climate summit in 2019 on a gas-guzzling super-yacht?”

Mr Jones noted how the yacht Harry stayed on emits “7,020 tonnes of carbon dioxide a year” which equates to ”19 tonnes” of CO2 a day.

Queen went to Sandringham earlier than normal but it’s not a Christmas vacation

Technically, the Queen hasn’t left for Sandringham early, as she is enjoying an unrelated trip to the residence.

According to the BBC, the visit is “long-planned” and will only last a few days.

Aviation sources told the BBC she arrived on the estate by helicopter.

She was admitted to hospital last month, on October 20, for a brief stay to conduct “some preliminary investigations”.

Doctors greenlit the light work, which she may use to prepare for her Christmas visit.

According to the Daily Mirror, the Queen was “delighted” to make the short journey.

A source told the publication she is “very much” looking forward to receiving her family there this year.

They said there is “much preparation to be done” ahead of the occasion to accommodate everyone.

They added she was “in firm belief” that she was “far better off” in Sandringham to “oversee everything as much as possible”.

Queen will be ‘very happy’ to have a change of scenery at Sandringham says expert

Hugo Vickers detailed how Her Majesty will be delighted to visit her horses, stabled on the estate away from her home in Windsor. He told The Times: “She will have a nice time there, because she can go and see the stud.” He added: “She will be very happy.”

The Queen, a long-time horse lover, was instructed at the end of October to stop riding for at least six months, according to the Mirror.

However, royal sources insist Her Majesty, 95, is “determined” to be back in the saddle as soon as she is able.

A Balmoral source told the Sun: “She was in quite a bit of discomfort. She adores riding and it has been part of her ritual for most of her life.

“She has been extremely disappointed not to go riding since the beginning of September.”

‘Unparalleled’ Queen will lead Remembrance Sunday homage to troops

While the monarch will miss the annual Festival of Remembrance on 13 November Her Majesty, who is the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, is determined to attend next week’s commemorations at the Cenotaph, which we will oversee from a balcony.

And last night military chiefs and historians told of the symbolic importance that her appearance, as one of the few survivors of the Greatest Generation, would have on the nation.

“Her long reign and experience during the war has an authority and standing that we will not see again,” said military historian Brig Allan Mallinson.

“She was in uniform at the time the country was at war – she didn’t shirk it – and that counts for a lot. Almost everyone in uniform will understand this.

“One’s instinct is that she is one of the Greatest Generation, and she continues to show what that means. She could so easily have withdrawn to Windsor to see out her days after the Duke of Edinburgh died – many were predicting this – but she continues to show that she is unparalleled.”

Kate Middleton ‘left in tears’ after Prince William cancelled New Year plans

Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, was deeply upset after Prince William decided against spending New Year with her early in their romance, a royal author has claimed.

In her book The Making of a Modern Romance, Katie Nicholl claims Prince William had said he would spend the New Year with Kate in 2006 – but instead opted to stay with his family.

Ms Nicholl says William had committed to celebrate Christmas at Sandringham, as is Royal Family tradition, then travel to Kate’s family home for New Year festivities.

She adds in her 2011 book that Kate was upset when her future husband changed his mind.

Kate then feared for their relationship going forward, according to the book.

Ms Nicholl claims the Duke of Cambridge phoned Kate on Boxing Day to inform her of his change of heart.

Prince Harry leaving official duty means door open for Lady Louise on cusp of adulthood

Prince Harry’s step back from the Royal Family last year may have opened up a space for teenage Lady Louise Windsor to slip into as she gears up for an important decision on her future place in the Firm.

Harry, 37, is expected to give up his position as Counsellor of State, a position he still has after the Duke and Duchess’s renunciation of official royal duties in 2020.

The position involves a commitment to representing the Queen at royal engagements if Her Majesty is unable to attend.

Lady Louise Windsor, who turns 18 on Monday, may step into his shoes with this responsibility amid speculation surrounding an imminent decision: whether to adopt an HRH title.

The oldest child of Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, Lady Louise is rumoured to be the Queen’s favourite grandchild.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry plan ‘fake royal tours’ next year – royal expert claims

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are planning to carry out more “fake royal tours” next year, a commentator believes.

In September, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex took part in their first public engagement since the birth of their daughter Lilibet when they visited New York.

Despite stepping back as frontline members of the Royal Family last January, the event was described as having “striking similarities” with an official royal tour.

They attended local landmarks, including the One World Trade Center, and even used their platform to call for vaccine equity at the Global Citizen Live concert event.

Royal commentator Neil Sean later described the events “fake royal tours” on his YouTube channel.

Now he has claimed the couple – who relocated to America after stepping back from official royal duties – are set to engage in more trips.

Prince Harry defended over military uniform denial at awards due to Royal Family departure

Prince Harry was defended by a royal commentator after it was revealed the Duke of Sussex would not be allowed to wear a military uniform at an award ceremony next week because of his removed titles.

Harry, 37, will not be allowed to wear a military uniform when he presents awards at The Salute to Freedom gala on November 10 as the royal no longer holds honorary military titles.

Instead, the Duke of Sussex will wear a black suit when he presents five medals to war veterans onboard a warship in New York.

But, while some royal watchers suggest the decision is completely down to Harry leaving the Royal Family, former royal correspondent Charles Rae backed the Duke, suggesting his experiences in the army should justify him wearing a military outfit.

Charles and William ‘privately delighted’ by Queen’s COP tribute – ‘Praise for the family’

Queen Elizabeth might not have been present in Glasgow for COP26 but her recorded speech made the headlines anyway and reportedly left Princes Charles and William “privately delighted”.

After being advised by her doctors not to fly to Scotland to attend the climate summit, the monarch had to work from home recording a speech that would be broadcast in Glasgow.

Dressed in green and addressing the COP26 audience next to a picture of her late husband Prince Philip, the monarch paid a touching homage to the Duke of Edinburgh’s early convictions regarding sustainability and also praised the work of her son and grandson.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl told OK! that the Queen’s words would have meant a lot to the future Kings.

It was a deeply personal message and her reflection on the Duke of Edinburgh and of course that very prominent positioning of that very beautiful picture of him surrounded by butterflies,” she said.

‘Last person they will call’ Charles and William set to snub Harry despite ‘major issue’

The Royal Family has decided not to ask Prince Harry to step in if needed, according to a royal expert, as Prince Charles faces a “major royal issue”.

The Royal Family faces a “problem” in ensuring they have enough senior royals to step in for the Queen if she is unable to carry out her day-to-day duties, according to a royal expert.

Historian Dr Ed Owens called it a “major issue for the Royal Family”.

However, Daily Mail Diary Editor Richard Eden noted that Prince Charles and William will not be phoning Harry to ask him to step in and help any time soon.

Work for Kate and William! Cambridges hunt for staff to join ex-Sussex Royal worker

Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William are advertising a new position for a social media expert to bolster their online presence.

Richard Eden, diary editor for the Daily Mail, revealed the job hunt, noting the team includes David Watkins, who worked on the Sussex Royal Instagram account.

Mr Eden wrote on Twitter: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who have 13 million Instagram followers, are keen to cement their online popularity.

“They are advertising on the royal website for a digital communications officer, who will support [their] official social media channels.

“Their team includes David Watkins, who helped Prince Harry and Meghan grow the Sussex Royal Instagram account.

“The Queen banned the Sussexes from using ‘Sussex Royal’ when they quit royal duties.”

Andrew’s lawyers to use accuser’s trafficking claim against her

Prince Andrew’s US lawyers are to use his sexual assault accuser Virginia Giuffre’s apparent own admission she recruited girls for Jeffrey Epstein in an attempt to dismiss her case.

The move will further fuel allegations from women’s rights groups of “victim blaming”.

A source explaining the Prince’s lawyers’ tactics told the Express: “The gloves are firmly off.

Whereas before there was a very British sense in the handling of the case, Andrew’s US team hold an entirely different view.

Meghan Markle’s ‘obsessive’ use of royal title ‘inviting laughter not respect’

Meghan Markle’s usage of her Duchess of Sussex title is “obsessive” according to claims made by a royal commentator.

In recent weeks, the mother-of-two has repeatedly used her Duchess of Sussex title despite no longer being a working royal.

The title was gifted to them by the Queen on their 2018 wedding day, and the couple continues to use the titles in connection with their professional work.

The decision to use her title to introduce herself to a child-centric audience though baffled some Twitter users.

The decision also came under scrutiny from royal commentator Jonathan Sacerdoti who claims that she uses the title “constantly”.

He told Express.co.uk: “I certainly can’t understand why one would produce a video aimed at infants and start by announcing oneself as a duchess.”

Lilibet christening: Queen ‘rejoicing and hoping’ for ceremony blessing

Lilibet’s christening has become a much talked about event, with the Bishop of Liverpool telling Express.co.uk that the Queen will be “rejoicing and hoping” that the ceremony takes place.

Lilibet Diana is the five-month-old daughter of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with speculation having surrounded her christening since her birth in June.

Questions over whether it will happen in the US, the UK, or even at all, have surfaced in recent months.

Some reports suggest that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are keen for Lilibet to be christened in the UK, but the coronavirus pandemic has made international travel more difficult.

Bishop Bayes told Express.co.uk that, despite the uncertainty, the Queen would be “rejoicing and hoping” that Lilibet is christened.

When asked if he believed it would be important for the monarch to be present during Lilibet’s christening, he said: “For me, as a Christian, the main thing is the act of the christening itself.”

Harry ‘would love it’ if Charles and William ‘begged’ him to ‘please return’ to UK

Prince Harry “would love it” if a “desperate” Royal Family “begged” him to come back to the UK, according to a royal expert.

Prince Harry “would love it” if his father Prince Charles “begged” him to return to the UK.

Daily Mail Diary Editor Richard Eden responded to whether Charles and William will ask Harry to return to help out with royal duties if needed.

Mr Eden told Palace Confidential that such a move from the Royal Family would come across as a “desperate call to California”.

But, the royal expert later cast doubt on such a possibility, adding: “I don’t think there will be any desperate call to California.”

Prince Charles tipped to emulate Swedish royal family as King

Prince Charles could look to the Swedish royal family for inspiration in his “slimming down” of the monarchy programme, royal historian Marlene Koenig told Express.co.uk.

Much has been said of the Prince of Wales’ plans to ‘slim down’ the monarchy. The project would look to reduce the number of working royals in a bid to relieve the financial “burden” of the family from the public. Alongside these plans it has also been suggested that Charles might look to transform some of the royal residences.

Marlene Koenig, a royal historian, suggested that Charles might look to the Swedish royal family for inspiration when he becomes King.

The current Swedish royal family has used Drottningholm — a residence just outside of Stockholm — as their primary residence since 1981.

They live in the west wing of the home, while the rest has been opened up to the public. The official home of the Swedish royals, however, is the Royal Palace — a building akin to Buckingham Palace — in central Stockholm.

Meghan and Harry planning more ‘fake royal tours’ around the world, expert claims

Speaking on his YouTube channel, royal commentator Neil Sean has claimed that more global engagements are on the horizon for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

He said: “According to a very good source, Harry and Meghan are planning even more, shall we say, ‘fake royal tours’ in 2022.

“Apparently they are looking to tour Australia, Japan and back to certain areas of the United States.”

Meghan Meghan has been warned against a US Presidency run as she lacks ‘thick enough skin’

The Duchess of Sussex has been warned against running for the position of US President as the Duchess of Sussex would need skin “thicker than rhinos'” to step into politics, Princess Diana’s biographer has claimed.

A royal biographer called Andrew Morton has dismissed claims Meghan is eyeing up a career in politics. The author, who famously collaborated with the late Princess of Wales for his 1992 biography Diana: In Her Own Words, acknowledged Meghan and Harry have tied links with prominent US politicians and Democrat leaders since relocating to California.

Meghan Markle will not be stripped of her Royal titles after political phone calls

The Duchess of Sussex will not be stripped of her titles, despite putting pressure on Congress to grant parents paid leave, an American royal expert has claimed.

The Duchess of Sussex, 40, delivered a massive win for US families after she successfully campaigned for Congress to include paid family and medical leave in the Build Back Better Act. Royal writer Omid Scobie confirmed Ms Markle’s campaign was successful on Twitter.
