Nightclub offers Thomas Cook employees free drinks and entry

Former Thomas Cook staff have been offered a free night out in Nottingham after the company collapsed this week.

Pryzm Nightclub shared a post on their Facebook page inviting all ex-employees to attend their venue on the weekend, with free entry and free drinks included.

All they have to do is bring their last payslip with them as proof they worked for the now-liquidated firm.

The club also advertised vacancies within their company, adding: ‘Also, it may not be your “go to” job choice – but we do have a small number of weekly paid positions starting immediately.

‘You might just want to use it to fill the gap, we don’t mind. We’ll help where we can.’

The post was quickly inundated with praise from several Thomas Cook staff who were part of the 20,000 people to find themselves unemployed on Monday.

Natalie Larcombe thanked the nightclub for their post and told them she had been in ‘tears all day’ after abruptly losing her job.

She said: ‘What a beautiful thing to do for us all. I personally thank you so much for your support at such a difficult time.

‘I have been in tears all day and to hear things like this makes me feel thankful there are amazing companies like yourself still out there.

‘Thank you once again. Love to you all.’

Another Thomas Cook employee Shelley Bruce then added: ‘I second that. I have seen so many beautiful gestures from companies and small businesses to support us. It restores our faith.’

While Lynda Beckett said: ‘How lovely and caring. Shows there are people who still care and want to help. Well done.’
