Nigel Farage SAVAGES ‘despicable’ May and Corbyn and WARNS of FURIOUS backlash
Brexiteer Nigel Farage criticised Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn for their work together on Brexit and insisted they were “despicable” for working against the people. The former UKIP leader also warned the Brexit Party may have to fight a second referendum and predicted a furious backlash from Leave supporters. Mr Farage said: “My own view is that throughout all of this, over the course of the last three years, our political class have behaved despicably.
“And I think that behaviour is getting worse by the day.
“I say that as Theresa May’s negotiating team and Jeremy Corbyn’s negotiating team are no doubt in Downing Street as we talk trying to put together some new formula.
“What they’re actually trying to do is form a coalition against the people and if you think that the public is angry at Brexit not being delivered, this will make them furious.
“A customs union, alignment with Single Market rules, this is very clearly not what we voted for
“And I’ve come to the view that actually just winning these European elections, well that’ll be great, but it won’t be enough.”
The Brexit Party leader went on to explain that the Brexit party may end up fighting a second referendum following the election.
However, he noted that he still believes that the Leave vote would win by an even bigger margin.
Mr Farage added: “I’m not even convinced that this government, this Parliament, would actually deliver the will of the people if Leave won again.
“So be in no doubt, for us, these European elections on May 23 are but a first step and we intend to change politics for good.”
According to the YouGov poll on 29th to 30th April 2019 of 1,630 people, the Brexit party would accumulate 30 percent of the votes for the European elections.
Labour follows most closely behind at 21 percent, and the Conservatives sitting significantly lower at 13 percent.
