The fire at the scrap yard on Thames Road, Newham is causing a significant amount of smoke. Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters have been called to help quench the fire.

The London Fire Department is advising residents to keep their windows closed.

There are currently no reports of injuries.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
