On the latest episode of his podcast with Alex Payne, ‘The Good, The Bad & The Rugby’, Mike opened up about his family holiday.

While he did not reveal where he and Zara went, the former English rugby union player did say he loved it.

Mike told his co-host the holiday was “lovely, thank you”.

He added: “I would like to say it was relaxing but I actually feel I need a holiday off the back of the holiday.”

Mike also said he is feeling a bit better having hit the gym each day, to which his co-star teased he was “sweating rosé”.

It comes after he and Zara welcomed their son Lucas in March, after announcing they were expecting their third child in an episode of the podcast last December.

In a break with royal protocol, Mike announced the birth on his podcast rather than through traditional means.

He said in March: “A little baby boy arrived at my house.

“Arrived very quickly – didn’t make it to hospital – on the bathroom floor.”

Mike shared how hectic Lucas’ birth was in March, saying the baby boy was born on his and Zara’s bathroom floor.

He told Mr Payne and James Haskell: “Zara’s friend Dolly is, she’s actually more important than I am at making sure she’s been at every three of my children’s births — she was there and recognised that we wouldn’t have got to the hospital in time, so it was run into the gym, get a mat, get into the bathroom, get the mat on the floor, get the towels down, brace brace brace!”.

“Fortunately the midwife that was going to meet us at the hospital wasn’t that far away so she drove up, got there just as we’d assumed the position, and then the second midwife arrived just after the head had arrived!”

Mike is the proud father of two other children, Mia, seven, and Lena, three.

His podcast ended it’s first season on Wednesday with a reflection on their favourite moments across the podcast.

Fans of the show won’t have to wait long for more content though as a second season of the podcast is set to drop later this year.
