The winning numbers for the National Lottery were 18, 51, 56, 59, 07, 47, and the bonus ball was 17.

The exact winning total was £11,042,269.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at the National Lottery, described the news as “fantastic news.” Because of Saturday nights big win; the estimated jackpot for Wednesday has increased to £2million.

He said: “What fantastic news for а single ticket-holder who hаs won tonight’s massive £11 million Lotto jackpot.

“This is the second lucky Lotto jackpot winner in October after one player won the £2 million jackpot in the draw on Wednesday, October 13!”

A total of 53 people matched five numbers to win £1,750 each, while 3,622 matched four balls to take home £140 each.

Some 89,452 people matched three numbers to win £30 each.

It is not known at this stage if the jackpot ticket holder was a lone person or part of a syndicate.
