Police have launched an investigation into the “unexplained” deaths of a man and a woman found inside a home in the popular UK seaside resort of Skegness in Lincolnshire. Lincolnshire Police officers were called to a house on Grosvenor Road at 3.26pm on Thursday and found the two people dead at the property. The deaths of the man and woman are currently being treated as unexplained and the bodies have not yet been formally identified.

Police quickly cordoned off the house as their investigation began. Detectives are “keeping an open mind” about the cause of the deaths.

Lincolnshire Police Detective Inspector Kara Nicholson, who is leading the investigation, acknowledged the deaths will be a “shocking and upsetting revelation to the local community”.

Officers will conduct a “thorough” investigation and will be carrying out “various lines of enquiry”, with a likely increased police presence in the area.

Anyone with information about these deaths has been urged to contact Lincolnshire Police.

Detective Inspector Nicholson said: “We understand this will be a shocking and upsetting revelation to the local community and we will investigate thoroughly to piece together exactly what has happened.

“Our Officers will be carrying out various lines of enquiry and residents may notice an increased police presence in the area.

“We are keeping an open mind about the cause of these deaths and we are urging anyone with information to come to us.

“Did you see or hear anything out of the ordinary? Do you know anything that you think might be helpful for us in our investigation? If so, it could be vital that you contact us.”

Anyone with information is being asked to contact police via the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident 209 of 20/10/2022.

Separately on Thursday, a young man fell to his death from a tower block in Canary Wharf’s business district in London.

The man in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene in the early hours of yesterday morning.

A woman in her 20s was also found at the scene and was rushed to hospital after suffering head and facial injuries.
