‘My mother voted Leave!’ Stanley Johnson’s reaction to Boris’s Brexit reveal is priceless
Addressing delegates in Manchester the Prime Minister said: “My friends, I am afraid that after three-and-a-half years people are beginning to feel that they are being taken for fools. “They are beginning to suspect that there are forces in this country that simply don’t want Brexit delivered at all. Let’s get Brexit done on October 31 so in 2020 our country can move on.”
“The Government is either going to be negotiating a new deal or working on no-deal — nobody will work on delay.”
“So let’s find a way forward. If there’s a willingness I believe there can be a deal, even at this very late stage.”
The Prime Minister also addressed the very public criticisms of him by his siblings, Rachel and Jo Johnson.
He said: “I know that there are some keen students on the alleged divisions in my family on matters of the EU.
He continued: “But I want you to know conference that I have kept my ace up my sleeve.
“My mother voted Leave!”
