Murder investigation launched after death of woman found with serious injuries

Eight police cars and two forensic vans are present on a cul-de-sac in Whinmoor, Leeds. A woman was found with severe injuries at an address there at around 6.30pm last night.
The victim died at the scene and now West Yorkshire Police have launched a murder investigation.
In a statement to Leeds Live, the force said: “At 6.31pm on Sunday, emergency services attended Naburn Fold in Leeds after a woman was found with serious injuries.
“It was confirmed the woman had died at the scene and a murder investigation has been launched.
“Enquiries are ongoing and a police scene remains in place.”
Photos show the cul-de-sac cordoned off as concerned residents gather on the street.
One witness said: “The front and back of a house has been taped off as well as the top and bottom of the street.”
No arrests have been made at this stage.
