Mum, dad and daughter all die from coronavirus in space of two weeks
A mother, father and daughter from the same family all died from coronavirus within two weeks of each other.
Keith, 84, and Jean MacVicar, 82, died after contracting Covid-19 two weeks ago. Shortly after, their daughter, Jayne, 62, developed symptoms.
Jayne’s younger brother Richard, 60, said losing half of his family in such a short space of time felt like ‘someone has cut me open and stolen my heart’.
Mother-of-two Jayne passed away from the virus on Saturday, Richard announced on Facebook.
He wrote: ‘It’s with heartbreaking regret to say Jayne has lost her battle for life.
‘At least we have the comfort of knowing she is back with mum and dad.

‘To lose half your family in the space of two weeks feels like someone has cut me open and stolen my heart. So, so wrong.’
Before she passed, Jayne posted several messages on Facebook urging friends to listen to the government’s lockdown measures, and swapped her profile picture for one that read: ‘Stay home, it could save lives.’
Richard told friends ‘it’s like a horror movie’ for the rest of the family, from Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, as they face organising a triple funeral during a coronavirus pandemic.
The funeral can only be attended by immediate family members due to government’s strict restrictions.
The tragic deaths come as the UK’s coronavirus toll surged past 11,000 today, as a further 717 people lost their lives.
