Motorola is back with the 'thinnest flippable smartphone'

It’s raining flip phones as Motorola launches two Razr flip devices — the Motorola Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra.

The Razr 40 ultra brings the nostalgia from the original RAZR V3 and is touted to be the ‘thinnest flippable smartphone in the industry when flipped closed’.

It comes with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Mobile Platform, efficient battery, and the largest external display on any flip phone with a 3.6″ screen size, up to 144Hz refresh rate and 1056 X 1066 resolution.

With the new Razr, users are able to stand the device on its own at multiple angles thanks to Flex View technology. They can angle the device to easily view recipes while cooking, follow an exercise coach online, video chat with friends and more.

The device can also be used as a tripod to capture images and videos with hands-free recording, AI face tracking, gesture capture and auto-smile capture.

Users can also respond to messages, get directions, control Spotify, and more with the device flipped closed.

The Razr 40 features the same smooth and vivid internal display, teardrop hinge and form factor as the Razr 40 ultra.

The most noticeable difference of the Razr 40 is a smaller external display and comes with Gorilla Glass and premium vegan leather.

It’s easy to grip, soft to the touch and it in trendy colours such as: Sage Green, a contemporary green tone, Vanilla Cream, a true off-white classic and Summer Lilac, which is a mystical purple shade.

The Razr 40 also features the highest resolution sensors on any of Motorola’s foldable devices for both front and rear camera systems with a 64 MP main camera and 32 MP front camera for high-quality video calls.

Motorola also unveiled the Edge 40 Viva Magenta edition, concluding the edge 40 family line-up which boasts features like a curved display, IP68 dust and water protection, a powerful 50MP camera and fast charging in a sleek, stylish design.
