A major search was launched to find a missing 12-year-old girl who never turned up at her friend’s house.

Croleigh Palmer, of Eastbourne, Sussex, was meant to be travelling to an address in Hailsham yesterday but never arrived.

Police said her disappearance was ‘very out of character’ and were concerned for her safety.

The schoolgirl was reported missing when she had not returned home by 11pm.

Sussex Police tweeted just before midday that Croliegh was found ‘safe and well’ in Eastbourne.
