Mike Tindall has been poking fun at Princess Eugenie colour coordinating her outfit with his wife Zara as a pair of Starburst sweets on his Instagram page. He shared the pictures of Eugenie in a bright orange gown and Zara in stunning pink with his 204k followers as the family attended the Service of Thanksgiving earlier this year.

Mr Tindall became part of the Royal Family in 2011 when he married Princess Anne’s daughter Zara Phillips.

He captioned the photo of the grinning cousins: “When you combine your favourite Starbursts!! 2 world class ladies!! #starburst #platinumjubilee.”

The Tindalls became known for their sartorial japes during celebrations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June.

Mike Tindall modelled a number of his wife’s stylish fascinators that she wore across the four-day celebration period.

After the Trooping of the Colour Parade he sported Zara’s bright red fascinator, which paired beautifully with his red tie.

On the following day he posed in fuchsia, sparking delight amongst royal fans.

One said: “It’s the serious look on his face for me, while at the same time not taking himself seriously at all. Genius.”

Another added: “I’m loving the way Mike is wearing ties that match the colour of Zara’s outfits.”

Zara herself even got involved with the fun on the third day, trying on her husband’s top hat while he sported her blue fascinator.

The Prince and Princess of Wales’s youngest son Prince Louis garnered the most attention at the festivities with his cheeky antics.

However, Mr Tindall defended the four-year-old royal on his podcast, saying: “Louis, he was just wanting to have fun. And my two are always mischievous so it’s trying to keep a lid on.

“There were a lot of sweets out back though, so there was a real sugar high.”

The Tindalls themselves have three children – Mia, 8, Lena, 4 and Lucas, 1.
