‘Might as well be going to Disneyland!’ – QT spectator savages MPs’ broken Brexit promises
The enraged woman asked why the public should bother to vote when all the promises that have been made will be broken. The audience member pointed to the 2016 European Union referendum as an example of a broken political promise. She also questioned whether the NHS has a future in the current political landscape.
The audience member said: “Obviously you’re all banking on us to come out and vote for you all but what is the point of us even coming out of our front doors when it seems like we might as well be going to Disneyland.
“Because no one seems to make any truth.
“You promises us money that you haven’t got as you did with Brexit two years ago and in the meantime saying about building 40 hospitals.
“By the time it comes to that stage we won’t even have an NHS.
“It will be gone.”
During tonight’s BBC debate the Conservative Party and Labour Party representatives clashed on the NHS.
Rishi Sunak savaged Labour’s Rebecca Long-Bailey over claims the Conservatives plan to privatise the NHS.
The Conservative pointed out the billions of pounds the Labour Party’s four-day-week would cost the NHS.
BBC host Nick Robinson asked: “Are you accusing Rishi Sunak’s party of wanting to privatise the NHS and charge £5000 for cancer treatment?”
The Labour candidate replied: “That’s been his party’s direction of travel since the NHS was created.
“Let’s not beat around the bush.”
Mr Sunak stated: “That is totally and utterly ridiculous!
