Mia Farrow’s huge U-turn on Harry and Meghan

Mia Farrow Through the Years

Mia Farrow made a huge u-turn after previously claiming she was getting “tired of Harry and Meghan” in a controversial tweet around a fortnight ago.

The legendary Hollywood star, who was once married to fabled crooner Frank Sinatra, said she was wrong to criticise the couple, and instead decided to delete the tweet which lashed out at them.

The 78-year-old, who clinched a Golden Globe for New Star of the Year – Actress in 1965, issued her regret at her comments, instead wishing to set the record straight on how she now felt.

Harry and Meghan have been under fire in recent months, particularly the former Suits actress, who confirmed she would be missing King Charles III’s Coronation next month.

And in an interview with US Weekly at the Time100 Gala on Wednesday, Mia backtracked on her remark.

The actress said: “I shouldn’t tweet without thinking. I adore them.”

The Be Kind Rewind actress then lavished praise on Harry, and in particular, his late mother, the Princess of Wales, adding: “I was thinking in that moment about [Princess] Diana and how much I admired her.”

Mia’s original tweet said: “Here’s my unkind thought of the day: I’m getting a little bit tired of Harry and Meghan.”

The actress said she “regretted” the tweet because “a lot of people thought I was being nasty”.

She concluded: “And I guess it was a pretty nasty thing to say, but I didn’t intend it to be. I deleted it and I saw how offended people were. But that’s what I was thinking.”

Farrow works tirelessly as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, and in 2008 was recognised as one of the world’s most influential people.

She also reflected on Diana, admitting that like millions of people across the globe, she “cared” about Harry’s mother, concluding: “It was horrible for all of us when she died, though.

“I never met her. And we cared about the little boys (Harry and his brother Prince William). We were heartbroken. And now we do want them to make the peace, whatever it takes.”
