Meghan ‘source of comfort and reassurance’ to Harry
Meghan Markle’s absence at coronation discussed by Bower
Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex showed she is a “source of comfort and reassurance” to Prince Harry with her behaviour towards him, a body language expert said.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted enjoying an evening out and about in Los Angeles to catch the latest LA Lakers game.
Darren Stanton noted Harry and Meghan behaved “like any other couple in love” as they laughed and smiled at each other when spotted by the kiss cam.
The body language expert said the couple’s “tactile” nature highlighted the close “level of rapport” they share both in private and in public.
Stanton told Express.co.uk: “Meghan appears to be a source of comfort and reassurance for Harry and it’s clear to see the admiration she has from him, with Meghan showing a glimpse of this as she laughed at her husband’s confident and humorous display, pulling him in closer to her.

“This was a rare public appearance for the couple, yet one that proves the level of connection they share.”
He continued: “Meghan looks quite relaxed, she’s leaning forward and smiling – a genuine smile.
“We see Harry speaking to somebody next to him, leaning in towards them which is a sign of interest.
“He then leans the other way into Meghan, bringing his face close to hers, which demonstrates the level of rapport and ease they have around each other.
They’re very comfortable in each other’s proximal zones, with Meghan reciprocating this as she smiles at Harry and reaches out for his arm.”
Speaking on behalf of Betfair Bingo, Stanton added: “It shows that the pair are comfortable to be out and about together in public and very happy in each other’s company.”
Meghan and Harry were last spotted together on another date night in March shortly after it was confirmed they had been handed an eviction notice from the King to vacate their Frogmore Cottage home.
The couple’s appearance came hours after Meghan put in her public appearance since Buckingham Palace confirmed she will not be attending the Coronation next month.
The Palace released a statement earlier this month announcing Harry would be returning to the UK for the ceremony while the Duchess would be remaining in California with their children.
A report earlier this week claimed Meghan would not be coming to the Coronation after concerns about “unconscious bias” within the Royal Family were not addressed despite writing a letter to the King about the issue.

But a spokesperson for the Duchess of Sussex immediately shut down the claims, insisting she had “moved on”.
In a statement, they said: “The Duchess of Sussex is going about her life in the present, not thinking about correspondence from two years ago related to conversations from four years ago.
“Any suggestion otherwise is false and frankly ridiculous.”
The letter in question related to claims the Duke and Duchess made in their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021 in which they alleged an unnamed member of the Royal Family expressed concerns about Prince Archie Harrions’s skin colour.
