Meghan Markle’s touching message to Vogue contributors REVEALED – with quirky twist
Meghan Markle sent a thank you present to all the contributors who worked with her at her British Vogue’s issue, called Forces For Change. The present, a black leather notebook with the title of the issue she co-edited emblazoned on the front cover, came with a touching handwritten letter. The note is written on a displaying showing Prince Harry and Meghan’s official monogram.
And it has been written in flawless calligraphy by the expert hand of the Duchess of Sussex.
The content of one of the notes has been revealed by Luminary Bakery, an all-female social enterprise offering help and opportunities to vulnerable women finding themselves in social and economic disadvantage.
The note, shared on Instagram by the organisation, read: “When I knew I would be secretly guest editing the September issue of British Vogue, including Luminary Bakery was a non-negotiable.
“The work you do, what you represent to the community, the spirit of the women there- you all embody what it means to be ‘forces for change’.
“Thank you for being a part of this special project.”
The letter was addressed to Alice Williams, the CEO and founder of the organisation, and “the women of Luminary Bakery”, as it can be read on the back of the letter.

Four days ago, Luminary Bakery revealed their collaboration with Meghan, publishing the September cover of British Vogue on their Instagram account.
They added: “What an honour! We are so excited to share that Luminary is being featured in the September 2019 issue of British Vogue, guest-edited by HRH The Duchess of Sussex!
“The Duchess personally requested Luminary to be featured and sent us a gorgeous handwritten note to thank us for being #ForcesForChange.
“The cover features 15 world-leading women who are reshaping public life for global good, chosen by the Duchess of Sussex and British Vogue’s editor-in-chief Edward Enninful.
“The 16th slot – which (in print) appears as a mirror – is intended by the Duchess to show how YOU are part of this collective moment of change too.
“We absolutely love this vision and could not be more on board!
“We are so grateful to The Duchess of Sussex, Edward Enninful and Ellie Pithers for including us in this historic issue of such an esteemed magazine.”
Meghan’s handwriting was praised by one follower of the bakery, who wrote: “That handwriting is so inviting.
“Beautiful just like the message it’s carrying. Congratulations @luminarybakery”.
Meghan is known for loving calligraphy – and she even thought it for several months to support her Hollywood career before debuting in US legal drama Suits.
Five years before joining the TV hit, Meghan was working at Paper Source, a small custom stationery shop, in Beverly Hills.
The actress is remembered as an outstanding employee by the company’s CEO Winnie Park, and praised for her “creativity”.
Mr Park also said Meghan used to teach a two-hour long class on calligraphy once a week.
Meghan met A-listers even before becoming a famous actress thanks to this job, counting actress Paula Patton among her clients.
Speaking to Town & Country magazine, Ms Patton revealed Meghan did her custom invitations and save-the-dates.
She said: “I just thought Meghan did a beautiful job.
“It really is a lost art, and it was so nice to create something without a device that doesn’t use a battery or need to be plugged in.”
