Meghan Markle was claimed to have felt that she “gave up her entire life” for the Royal Family, according to a damning biography about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s private life. ‘Finding Freedom’, which will be published in August, has already been reported to have caused problems with Prince William, Kate Middleton and the Queen. In an extract, it was claimed that she felt “very sad” over her alleged rejection from the royals after she chose to sacrifice her acting career in the US and her privacy. Prince Charles’ daughter-in-law has come under scrutiny in the years following the royal wedding – a struggle she has publicly voiced and led to the couple leaving royal life. But unearthed accounts reveal the star was no stranger to controversy in the past when she interrupted cast members as well as made a number of cheeky comments and digs at them.

Meghan, now 38, was among her ‘Suits’ cast members when she delivered a sleight to her small screen colleague.

The comments came during a press conference to dish the dirt on the final six episodes of the show’s third series, as part of the Television Critics Association.

The future-Royal claimed that “a lot of sadness, happiness, whatever” were some of the “layers” that made the courtroom drama so interesting in 2014.

But she revealed that several professionals who practiced law criticised her character’s choice of clothing, while she appeared as Rachel Zane on the show.

Meghan said: “Lawyers just say to me, ‘I don’t think any paralegal could ever afford to dress that way’.”

Her TV husband Patrick J Adams interjected: “And that you wouldn’t be allowed to. Right?

“That’s what they keep saying, because there’s a very strict rule in law offices about how things can be.”

Screenwriter and producer Aaron Korsh admitted that they did “take some liberties” while they created the show before Meghan continued his sentence.

She said: “We take some with the open toed shoes, but, I mean, I think the point is what paralegal can wear a Tom Ford skirt and these shoes? Like, she comes from money?”

Interviewers quizzed co-star Rick Hoffman about playing a “very unlikeable” character and whether he was surprised that the public seemed to like him in real life.

He replied: “It’s the greatest. It’s really the greatest thing in the world and really it’s amazing how many people adore this show. I even get a lot of requests for hugs for some reason.”

Rick claimed the character “needs a hug”, which co-star Gina Torres hinted it may take more to break through his meanness when she said: “Yeah, he does. More than one.”

He continued: “As far as playing different levels of douchebaggery, I think…”

But he was interrupted by Meghan who made a cheeky snipe at her fellow actor as she quipped: “That’s the technical term!”

After the remark, a flustered Rick continued: “…to have somebody come up to you, in general, I don’t know any actor who is disturbed by it. It’s just such a nice thing to have happen when you are doing this.”

Meghan continued to interrupt her other colleagues mid-response, including Patrick who explained who spoke about accidentally ruining takes with laughter.

He said: “At times, actors are working and…”

Meghan interjected: “Sometimes we are shooting until, like, three or four in the morning, and you just get that.”

Patrick tried to add that it can happen at “three in the afternoon” too before she continued: “And you get a bit of the giggles.

“Rachel and Harvey don’t have a lot of scenes together, but I always get excited when we do because we are going to laugh.”

Meghan’s final episode of ‘Suits’ aired in 2018 after she concluded filming the year before.

She and Prince Harry tied the knot in St George’s Chapel in London and now have one son Archie Harrison.
