Prince Harry and Meghan Markle rumours discussed by Schofield

Meghan Markle should give up her Duchess title if she plans on relaunching her lifestyle blog and promoting products, according to a royal expert.

The comments come amid rumours that Meghan plans to resurrect her lifestyle blog, The Tig.

“Maybe I’m a bit old fashioned but I really don’t think a Duchess who is married to the King’s son should be going around promoting goods,” royal expert Vanessa Feltz said on Talk TV.

She continued: “I mean, everything she wears, she’s been given and she expects that. Obviously, working Royals and Princesses and Duchesses would never dare do that but I think it’s wrong.”

Ms Feltz said that although she previously didn’t mind the Duchess of Sussex keeping her title, she had changed her mind on the matter.

“I’m actually of the opinion – I never have been before – that if she wants to do that and regenerate her lifestyle blog she really should give up her title and just be Meghan Markle – forget the Duchess of Sussex and leave Harry well out of it,” she said.

Meghan shut down the lifestyle blog in April 2017 just before she announced her engagement to Prince Harry.

“After close to three beautiful years on this adventure with you, it’s time to say goodbye to The Tig,” she wrote on the website which she called her “passion project”.

Now, however, after her and Harry’s split with the Royal Family, it’s been rumoured the Duchess is gearing up for a relaunch.

The blog – founded circa 2014 – covered topics including travel, fashion beauty, self-care and recipes. It was named after Meghan Markle’s favourite Italian red wine Tiganello.
