Meghan Markle ‘THRILLED’ to use social media and is writing Instagram posts HERSELF
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who are expecting their first child to be born within a matter of weeks, are set to use their joint Instagram page as a major media tool to reach out to fans. The Sunday Times’ Royal Correspondent told ITV’s The Royal Rota: “She is very hands on. And I am not sure she is writing every single word herself but she is certainly having a very big input into them. You could see some of the things last week mentioned her. You know, the Duchess of Sussex was unable to join the Duke of Sussex. Some of the language is definitely quite Meghan, I think.

“But that is fair enough because she is on maternity leave. She was very good at Instagram back in the day. She had a blog called The Tig.
“She was prolific on Instagram and social media, all of which was shut down.”
The royal commentator insisted Meghan, 37, is “thrilled” to have control over her Instagram account.
She added: “The Instagram account is already a global powerhouse. It broke the Guinness Book of World Records for the fastest ever account to get more than a million followers.
“So, it is going to be a massive tool for them. It is going to be a massive media tool for them and she is good at social media and knows what she is doing.”
There are subtle signs the Duchess of Sussex has been writing her own posts to her and Harry’s millions of Instagram followers.
A post, which thanked the public for the thousands of pounds raised for charities the couple supports, was littered with Americanisms.
The message referred to nappies as “diapers”.
The post read: “Baby2Baby have received over 5,000 products to disperse to children in need, including cribs, books, backpacks, diapers and have received monetary donations from around the globe – from Guadalajara to Italy.”
Further references include “cribs” instead of cots and “backpacks” instead of rucksacks.
The post also uses the American spelling of re-energise with a Z replacing the S.
The charities the couple support include Baby2Baby, Lunchbox Fund, Little Village and Well Child.
The public were encouraged to give to charity instead of sending the royal couple gifts.
But royal fans may not find out any details about the birth of the royal baby for a while, as Kensington Palace also announced this week the royal couple will be keeping the birth plans private.
A statement from the palace said: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby.
“Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private.
“The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.”
