During an appearance on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert Podcast, Harry spoke of his experience of growing up as a member of the Royal Family. Speaking to the host, Harry revealed how difficult it was to grow up in the Royal Family and therefore, being in the public eye. Although some young girls may grow up hoping to become a Princess, Harry revealed the inner life of a royal may not be what it seems.
In a touching moment, Harry revealed how Meghan believes anyone can create their life to better than that of someone in the Royal Family.
Asked by Shepard on his experiences, Harry said: “I do think that old way of thinking of the Prince and Princess and all these little girls thinking that’s what they want to become.
“And saying ‘all I want to be is a Princess’ and I’m thinking ‘urgghh, it’s not what you think’.
“I might not get it right but my wife said the most amazing explanation to that.
“I won’t get it right but it’s you don’t need to be a Princess, you can create your own life better than any Princess.
“And that’s coming from her own experience.
“When we got together and she was surprised at what it is really like.”
Also during the podcast, Harry’s life was likened to the US movie, The Truman Show.

The Duke also spoke of how he had struggled to adapt to royal life in his 20s.
Harry added: “I think the biggest issue for me was that being born into it you inherit the risk that comes with it – you inherit every element of it without choice.
“And because of the way that the UK media are, they feel an ownership over you, literally – like a full-on ownership – and then they give the impression to some, well most, of their readers that that is the case.
