Meghan Markle: Sweet meaning behind Duchess’ new jewellery revealed ahead of christening

The Duchess of Sussex has been spotted wearing turquoise gems in her necklace and earrings since becoming a mother and there may be a reason for that. When she first presented Archie to the public in Buckingham Palace, Meghan wore a dainty necklace with three turquoise stones. She also wore rectangular turquoise earrings when she made a surprise appearance at the Yankees baseball game in London.

The gemstone is known to be a “master healer”, according to expert Heather Askinoise.

She believes Meghan is wearing the crystal as it brings “blessings” to the wearer.

Ms Askinoise told People: “It is a wonderful gemstone to connect with when you want to bring focus to your health.

“Turquoise is the perfect crystal for a new mother as it is said to bring blessings to those who wear it.”

The revelation comes as Meghan and Harry are about to christen their son, Archie Harrison today.

Archie is set to be christened privately by the Archbishop of Canterbury in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle.

A statement issues by Buckingham Palace read: “”The Duke and Duchess of Sussex look forward to sharing some images taken on the day by photographer Chris Allerton.

“The godparents, keeping with their wishes, will remain private.”

The couple had originally planned to have his baptism on Friday, according to reports.

But after realising both Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles had prior engagements, they had to alter the date to Saturday.

The Queen will be spending a long-planned weekend in Sandringham with husband Prince Philip.

Last year, she missed Prince Louis’ baptism.

She had hoped, the Daily Mail reported, to attend the christening of Harry’s first child.
