Meghan Markle shows thrifty side as she recycles outfits & dresses Archie in £13 dungarees
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son Archie, who was born in May, made his first appearance on their Africa trip today. Meghan dressed the four-month-old in a £12.99 pair of pale blue and white dungarees from H&M, which have already sold out.
The American former actress, who often opts for expensive designer outfits, also re-wore a £100 jumpsuit.
Archie’s dungarees are from H&M’s Conscious range and are made from organic cotton, with straps that cross at the back with decorative buttons.
Prince Harry and Meghan took the royal youngster to meet Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
Meghan stunned in a £232 silk Dremah dress by Club Monaco as she and Harry introduced Archie to the Nobel Peace Prize winner.
The former Suits star later changed into the black Everlane Japanese GoWeave Essential jumpsuit, which she previously wore in a video about her guest editing the September issue of British Vogue.
And the royal accessorised with a pair of gold earrings by Gas Bijoux, which she first donned on her trip to Morocco in February.
They are priced at around £172, but are now out of stock.
Meghan also recycled two outfits from her Commonwealth tour last year on day one and two of the Africa trip.
On Monday Meghan wore the beautiful blue dress from her visit to Tonga and for Tuesday’s evening reception she changed into the striped maxi dress she had sported on Bondi Beach in Sydney.

Meghan stepped out today for two solo engagements after Harry set off for Botswana.
He is also visiting Angola and Malawai during the 10-day tour, while Meghan and Archie will stay in South Africa.
For her first engagement without Harry, the 38-year-old met female entrepreneurs at a Ladies Who Launch event in Cape Town.
During the visit, Meghan opened up about being a working mum to Archie.
She said: “We’re only five months in right now. Being a working mum and travelling as well with a baby, my goodness it’s a lot, but it’s all so exciting.
“There are days when it’s a lot to juggle but then you meet someone and you have an impact on them and you say ‘ah-ha’, and it’s so rewarding.”
For her second solo engagement, Meghan visited the not-for-profit organisation mothers2mothers.
Harry’s wife handed over two bags of Archie’s “loved but outgrown” clothes to a group of mothers.
She said: “It’s so important we’re able to share what’s worked for our family and know that you’re all in this together with each other. So we wanted to share something from our home to yours.”
