During her speech for the Girl Up Leadership Summit, the Duchess of Sussex praised the progression made by this generation and called for a continued approach of conviction and compassion. Meghan Markle also stated that Prince Harry and baby Archie will be “cheering on” those that continue to lead the way forward.   

The Duchess of Sussex said: “We make better communities and a better world for ourselves step by step.

“The pace of those steps are getting quicker, it is looking at the big picture that you can see how far we have progressed.

“I am extraordinarily proud of what you have accomplished.

“Please continue to honour the conviction and compassion that has awoken within you.

“I will be cheering you on, so will my husband, so will Archie as you all continue marching, advocating and leading the way forward.”
