Meghan and Prince Harry have delighted their fans by sharing an exclusive video featuring little Archie and the Duchess of Sussex. In the video, Archie is sitting on Meghan’s lap while she reads him book. The little Sussex tries to get hold of the book while his mother flicks through the pages of ‘Duck! Rabbit!’

In the sweet clip, Archie smiles and laughs while Meghan reads out loud the words on the pages, but also helps his mother turning them over.

Prince Harry, who stood behind the camera to film his wife and son, can also be heard chuckling as his son plays with the book.

The video was shared on the Instagram page of Save the Children UK, a non for profit organisation supporting children in poverty around the world.

The caption to the video explains how Meghan and Harry wanted to mark their son’s birthday by raising awareness on the millions of young lives that have been disrupted by the coronavirus pandemic.

It read: “Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex reads ‘Duck! Rabbit!’ for Archie’s birthday

“‘Duck! Rabbit!’ with Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex (and Harry, The Duke of Sussex behind the camera), read to their son Archie for his 1st birthday. Happy Birthday, Archie!

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who relocated to Los Angeles in late March, had previously teased royal fans by letting them know they would “see” Archie on his birthday.

Speaking to The Sunday Times in late April, a spokesperson for the Sussexes said: “You can expect to see him”.

Archie was born in the early morning of May 6 2019 at the Portland Hospital in London.

After confirming he was a boy and that both him and Meghan were well on Instagram, Prince Harry stepped out Frogmore Cottage to briefly speak to the press.

Royal fans had a first glimpse of the baby two days later, when Meghan and Harry held a photo call with a restricted number of photographers at Windsor Castle.

Meghan and Harry have been careful in protecting the privacy of their son.

In July, they didn’t invite any member of the press to the christening of Archie and maintained the identity of his godparents a secret.
