Meghan Markle news: Meghan’s ex-husband ties the knot – who is Trevor Engelson?

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is at home adjusting to parenthood with Prince Harry and baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. Meanwhile, her ex-husband, Hollywood producer Trevor Engelson, has also moved on with his life, remarrying this weekend. Trevor, 42, married Tracey Kurland, 31, the heir to a multimillion-dollar empire.

Trevor and Tracey may not have had a royal wedding, but their lavish ceremony rivalled the grounds of Windsor Castle.

The pair said ‘I do’ at the luxurious Rosewood Miramar Beach resort in Montecito, the Daily Mail reported.

Tracey is the daughter of Stanford Kurland, the infamous businessman who made millions writing the risky loans that led to the 2008 housing crash – and millions more buying mortgages back at a fraction of the cost from the government just a few years later.

The wedding saw guests treated to personalised games and serviettes to remember the day, and dining on Caesar salads, burgers and fries.

Who is Trevor Engelson?

Trevor Jed Engelson was born on October 23, 1976, in New York.

He attended John L. Miller Great Neck North High School and went on to study journalism at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

After attending USC, he began a career as a production assistant and later moved into talent management.

Eventually, he founded his own production company, Underground, in 2001.

His most notable film to date was Remember Me in 2010, starring Robert Pattinson and Emilie de Ravin.

His other films include Outpost 37, License to Wed and All About Steve. He also produced the series Snowfall.

In 2018, it was announced that Engelson was to start work on an upcoming fictional comedy-drama on Fox about being left for a British Prince.

But producers have insisted it’s pure fiction, a “divorce comedy” which explores the experience of two characters who have to share custody of their children following their divorce, but with the Royal Family.

Trevor and Meghan met and began dating in 2004.

He worked briefly with Meghan during their relationship, getting her a small role as a friend in Remember Me.

The couple married on September 10, 2011, at the Jamaica Inn in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

Some 18 months later they were separated, and were granted a no-fault divorce in August 2013, citing irreconcilable differences.

When Meghan and Harry got engaged, Trevor attracted a lot of media attention, but never sold out or revealed any sordid details of their marriage and divorce.

He proposed to Tracey less than two weeks after Meghan and Prince Harry wed on May 19 last year.
