Meghan Markle feels the British public is now ready and willing to embrace her return to the UK at some point, a royal expert has claimed. In a video on his YouTube channel, royal expert Neil Sean commented on the latest appearances of Meghan Markle alongside her husband, Prince Harry and other members of the Royal Family. Observing Meghan’s interactions with the crowds, the expert suggested that the Duchess of Sussex now feels “validated” and as if she would be “embraced” if she were to return to the UK from California, US, where she resides.
Mr Sean noted: “Meghan was ready and willing to meet the public. She was terrified about how the public might perceive her particularly over here in the UK but all those fears were pushed away very quickly.
“Meghan now feels validated because the British people do like her. You can understand how this could be the case because there she is in a very delicate situation and there’s the crowd happy to see her.
“For her now, what she really feels is that they are ready and willing to embrace their return at some point back to the UK.
“What happened on Saturday proves she is liked but it’s not just the British public that have to forgive her, it’s senior members of the monarchy.”
The Duchess was seen being given a close hug by a young girl in the crowd at Windsor Castle during a walkabout along with Prince Harry, Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Meghan walked over to a section of the crowd and approached a teenager, who was seen putting her hand over her mouth in shock.
The pair spoke briefly for a few moments and Meghan could be seen assuring her by putting her hand on her shoulder.
The girl then said: “Can I have a hug?” and Meghan was seen nodding, before leaning in and giving her a big hug.
Harry and Meghan stepped down from royal duties in 2020, and have since become alienated from the family and delivered withering criticism of Buckingham Palace and how they had been treated.
However, the couple unexpectedly appeared with Prince William, the heir to the throne, and his wife Kate for a walkabout near Windsor Castle on Saturday, raising the prospect of a rapprochement between the brothers.
Harry and Meghan gave a bombshell interview to Oprah Winfrey in March 2021 in which Meghan talked about her unhappiness and isolation during her time as a working royal after she married Harry in 2018.
Harry described feeling trapped by royal life and criticised his family for failing to support his wife.
Meghan also said there had been “concerns and conversations” within the family when she was pregnant with her son Archie about what colour his skin would be.
Buckingham Palace responded that “some recollections may vary” though the issues raised were “concerning”.
