Meghan Markle dressing Archie in England rugby babygro to watch World Cup final
The Duchess of Sussex has told the Telegraph Archie will be supporting the team in his England rugby babtygro as they take on South Africa in the final tomorrow morning. Meghan, 38, will be watching on from home as her husband Prince Harry jets off to Japan to watch the showpiece event from the Yokohama Stadium. The Duke of Sussex is the patron of the RFU (Rugby Football Union) and has already delivered the squad a good luck message ahead of the biggest game of their lives.
Flanker Sam Underhill, 23, has revealed the 31-man squad have received a message of support from Harry, 38, as well as a picture of five-month-old Archie in his little rugby kit.
The Bath and England star also joked he was still waiting for a personal message from the Duke.
Ahead of the final, when asked if he had received support from the Royal Family, the 23-year-old said: “Not personally! But as a group we’ve had a couple of messages from Prince Harry.
“He sent us a nice message of support, which was nice to receive.
“He showed his little lad in an England shirt, so that was a nice touch.
“I’m still waiting on my personal message!”
The Queen has also given the Rugby team her “very best wishes” and said the team’s performances so far has “inspired many people throughout the country”.
In a statement addressed to England Head Coach Eddie Jones, the letter from Buckingham Palace read: “Your performances during the tournament have delighted supporters, and inspired many people throughout the country.
“I send my congratulations to the England team, management and support staff on reaching the 2019 Rugby World Cup Final, together with my very best wishes for a memorable and successful match.”
England reached the final after a close to perfect victory over New Zealand in the semi-final last Saturday.
Eddie Jones’s side beat the back-to-back winners 19-7, handing the All Blacks their first World Cup defeat since the 2007 quarter-final.
Following the breathtaking victory, Harry who is often seen at Twickenham to watch the Six Nations, instantly took to social media to congratulate the team.
The Duke of Sussex wrote on his SussexRoyal Instagram account: “Wow, what a game of rugby! Another fantastic performance from our boys. Well done lads!
“You are making us all incredibly proud back home – bring on next week!”
Tomorrow morning’s final will be a repeat of the 2007 final between England and South Africa.
England will be hoping to avenge the 15-6 loss to the Springboks in Paris 12 years ago.

The last, and so far only, time England won the Webb Ellis Cup, was in 2003, against Australia.
England defeated the Wallabies in their own back yard in Sydney thanks to a last-minute drop goal by fly-half Jonny Wilkinson.
England take on South Africa in the World Cup final on Saturday, kick-off 9am GMT.
