The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are planning to visit the UK in September to attend charity events. A spokesperson for the couple said: “Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are delighted to visit with several charities close to their hearts in early September.” It will be the first time Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been to the UK since the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. The couple will attend an event in Manchester for the One Young World summit, before going to Germany for an Invictus Games function.

They will then return to the UK for the WellChild Awards.

Harry and Meghan left the UK in 2020, having struggled with royal life and tensions that exists between members of the Firm.

Meghan has previously spoken about how she struggled with some of the criticism that came her way.

But in April, royal biographer Tom Bower claimed that Meghan now “simply doesn’t care” about how she is viewed in Britain.

He told The Sun: “Meghan’s ultimate destination is unclear, but she certainly has the backing to make a bid to star as an American politician.

“In parallel, Britain is a lost cause for the Sussexes. In truth, I suspect Meghan no longer cares whether she is welcome in London. She has no intention of returning.”

Mr Bower added that while Meghan splits opinion in the UK, she was a “remarkable success” and is popular among “Democrats, minorities and the young”.

A return to the UK will no doubt be watched closely by other members of the Royal Family.

It has been reported that Meghan and Harry and no intention of visiting the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate.

A source told The Telegraph that there are no plans for a meeting between the couples amid ongoing tensions.

Harry also has big plans coming up regarding the release of his memoir.

It has been reported the book is complete and already signed off by lawyers.

Publisher Penguin Random House could even have the book out before Christmas, according to The Sun.

A publishing source was quoted as saying: “The manuscript has been finished and gone through all of the legal processes. It’s gone and out of Harry’s hands.

“The publishing date has been pushed back once but it is on track for the end of the year.”

Harry announced he planned to write the memoir last July.

In a statement, the prince said: “I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become.

“I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story – the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned – I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.

“I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a firsthand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful.”

It is thought the book will cover his relationship with his mother, Princess Diana, the breakdown of her marriage with Prince Charles and also the recent fallout which saw he and Meghan quit the Royal Family.
