Meghan Markle: ‘Central plank’ of Meghan’s relationship with ex-husband exposed
According to the 2018 book ‘Meghan: A Hollywood Princess’, Meghan and Trevor met in West Hollywood in 2004 and were in a relationship for nine years, married for two of those. They are very different people ‒ Trevor laid-back, breezy and loose-lipped, Meghan controlled and image-conscious. However, they did have two main things in common: their mutual ambition and a sense of adventure.
Both Meghan and Trevor were trying to make their way in an unforgiving industry, Meghan an aspiring actress and Trevor a wannabe producer.
The couples loved to travel whenever they could and even got engaged while in Belize.
Royal biographer Andrew Morton wrote: “While the Hamptons had been sampled, there were other spots she wanted to visit, schedules permitting.
“Greece, Mexico, Thailand and anywhere in the Caribbean were all on her list.
“The foodie in her fantasised about going to Bangkok and sampling the menu at Chote Chitr ‒ the restaurant that had been featured on national public radio and in The New York Times.
“Their mutual ambition, as well as their love of adventure, of hopping on a plane to somewhere unusual and far away, was a central plank of their relationship.
“Over time, Meghan gained something of a reputation for knowing about the newest restaurants or quirkiest hotels in odd parts of the world.”
Back in 2006, Meghan’s work timetable was perfect for this.
She had landed a job as a ‘briefcase girl’ on the TV game show Deal or No Deal, which involved long blocks of filming followed by weeks of downtime.
It was during these weeks off that she would whisk herself away on holiday, Trevor joining her when he could.
However, Trevor was so busy in his work as a talent agent and producer that he could not always accompany her.
In fact, he was so busy that he never even visited Meghan on set, something which was so unusual for the boyfriends and husbands of the models, that it was commented on at work.

That said, Trevor still liked to travel as much as he could and was a man who burned the candle at both ends, playing hard and working hard in equal measures.
Some of his favourite destinations were New York, where he was originally from and where his family still lived, as well as Palm Springs and Cuba.
According to Mr Morton, Trevor once said: “If I’m on a plane going somewhere, when I land I’m working, when I’m on the plane I’m working, when I’m drinking I’m working and I’m always having a lot more fun than most other people I know.”
Meghan and Trevor had a destination wedding too ‒ while they had officially married in California, they had the proper celebration with friends and family in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
They had a fun weekend of parties and wheelbarrow races on the beach, before a short ceremony in which they recited vows they had written themselves.
Unfortunately, the marriage did not work out and they separated after just 18 months, and divorced in 2013.
Meghan then dated chef Cory Vitiello for two years, before being set up on a blind date to meet Prince Harry.
The couple hit it off immediately and had five months of dating in private before their relationship became public.
They got married in a fairytale wedding in May 2018 and had a baby ‒ Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor ‒ last year.
Meanwhile, Trevor married dietician Tracey Kurland last year.
