Meghan Markle birthday: The Queen to give Meghan ‘huge honour’ for her birthday
This Sunday, August 4, Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, will celebrate her 38th birthday. This will be an extra special birthday for the Duchess – her first as a mother, and hot on the heels of the release of British Vogue’s September issue, which she guest-edited. And it seems the Queen wants to make it even more special for Meghan.
To celebrate, the Queen will throw a special tea party for Meghan and her little family at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.
Meghan, Prince Harry and baby Archie Harrison will reportedly have their own wing in the castle, and the tea will be a very traditional affair.
A source told the Sun on Sunday: “The Queen and Prince Philip adore the couple and, of course, their new great-grandson Archie, and they have invited them to Balmoral for a few days.

“It is testament to Meghan that she has been given this invite. It’s a huge honour.
“They will celebrate Meghan’s birthday, and the catering team will bake a cake to mark the occasion.
“Meghan may be a Duchess who can have anything she wants but the Queen is giving her a thoughtful present.
“It’s no secret Balmoral is Her Majesty’s favourite home and that’s why this invite is so special and heartfelt.”
According to a friend, this is just the sort of thing Meghan likes to do for her birthday.
The source said: “She prefers to use her day more introspectively.
“She’d much rather have a low-key dinner with her loved ones over a big blowout party.”
And of course, now she’s a mom, she doesn’t have much time for party planning.
The friend added: “Meghan’s world is pretty much just Archie.
“She’s so in love with being a mom, her mind’s on her baby boy, not her birthday.”
While Meghan might have everything she needs, she has previously said she’s not too fussed when it comes to birthday presents.
Writing in her now-closed blog, The Tig, the Duchess said all she wished for was “More surprises, more adventure, more opportunities to grow, more days filled with giggles and cheeky jokes, more delicious meals, and more inspiration. Always more inspiration.”

But while she might not have anything more on her wish list, she can certainly expect something special from her husband.
A royal source told Fabulous Digital: “This year there will be a birthday gift from Archie and the odds are on a sepia or black and white photograph of her precious son in a solid silver frame from Aspreys.
“The precious present is likely to have an engraving chosen by Harry that will make it extra special.
“And Harry has a weakness for designing jewellery for Meghan, so it is expected that the royal will design another stunning piece – likely to be earrings – as a Sussex surprise.”
