Meghan Markle birth: Where will Meghan Markle give birth? Why is she SNUBBING Lindo Wing?

Meghan Markle’s due date is nearing, with the mum-to-be expected to give birth this month. But unlike previous royal babies, it looks like the first sighting of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’ child might not be outside the famous Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital. If Meghan opts for a different location, she will break a tradition which has seen royal women give birth at the hospital wing for the past four decades.

Why will Meghan not give birth at the Lindo Wing?

There are multiple reasons Meghan is not expected to give birth at the famous hospital wing in London’s Paddington area, one of them because the couple have moved out of the UK’s capital and relocated to Windsor.

A source told The Sun: “This child will not be born at the Lindo.

“The talk of all the senior clinicians there is that Meghan doesn’t want to copy what Kate did.

“Harry and Meghan realise there is intense public interest but this baby is not a direct heir to the throne and they want the birth to be as private as possible.”

Another reason the Duchess of Sussex may choose a different location could be because she wants to have a more private and quiet time after her newborn baby arrives.

The source said: “Meghan also has the added stress of the world’s attention on her — everyone wants to catch the first glimpse of the new royal addition.

“She and Harry have decided that rather than go somewhere as public as the Lindo they will allow Meghan to recover somewhere more private.”

In addition, the Duchess of Sussex could be feeling nervous about giving birth for the first time, considering the fact she is a geriatric mum-to-be.

The source added: “Meghan is nervous about complications such as an emergency Caesarean and doesn’t want the pressure of having to look immaculate on the hospital steps just hours later.

“Like any anxious first-time mum, she’s worried about the birth itself.

“As she is over 35, she is considered a slightly older mum — which sometimes can lead to some complications.”

Where will Meghan Markle give birth instead?

Although no information has been confirmed about Meghan’s choice of location for her birth, many seem to think it will be near the Duke and Duchess of Sussex new home in Windsor.

It’s believed she could give birth at Frimley Park hospital, only a 25-minute drive from the couple’s Windsor residence.

According to royal punters, the odds on Meghan choosing this hospital for her birth is currently seeing odds at 5/4 as the most likely option.
