Meghan Markle baby’s birth LOOMS as Duchess’ CLOSE FRIEND flies to UK

Journalist Gayle King, a close friend of Meghan, has announced this morning she is flying across the pond to report on the royal baby’s birth. The 64-year-old broadcaster wrote on Instagram: “Flying to the UK to shoot stuff for prime time Royal special… lots of time to listen to @ritawilsonnew music ‘Halfway Home’.”

Ms King is one of Meghan’s closest friends and one of the 15 lucky people invited to the Duchess’ lavish baby shower thrown in New York in February.

This comes as one coach and the Queen’s car have been spotted arriving in Windsor escorted by a police motorcade.

Royal watchers believe these are signs the royal baby is about to be delivered – or is already among us.

Motorist Tamoor Ali, who spotted Queen Elizabeth II’s Bentley, said: “It seems to me that the baby is here and they haven’t announced it yet.”

However, a palace source said the presence of the monarch’s car in Windsor simply signalled the Queen’s arrival to Windsor Castle for a planned engagement.

The monarch will be present later today at a service of the Royal Victorian Order at St George’s Chapel, on the grounds of Windsor Castle, according to her royal diary.

The large coach spotted by another royal watcher is likely to be linked to this event.

Royal fans are being starved of news regarding the royal baby following Prince Harry and Meghan’s privacy demand issued in April.

The pair in a rare statement: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby.

“Their royal highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private.

“The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.”

Most royal fans are being respectful of Meghan and Harry’s decision – but some of them can’t help but venting their frustration over this neverending wait.

One Twitter user wrote: “I am desperate for news on the #RoyalBaby it’s driving me nuts!”

Another said: “I’m so impatient & excited, where is this Royal Baby Sussex @RoyalFamily, is there any news from Harry & Meghan’s camp, anything at all??? #TheWaitGoesOn.”

And another Twitter user simply asked: “Dear Meghan, where is Baby Sussex?”
