The Duchess of Sussex is currently heavily pregnant with her second child, who the couple revealed is due “in the summertime”. Meghan and Harry also shared they are expecting a girl, which the couple said would complete their family, as they already have a two-year-old son, Archie. Commenting on the upcoming arrival, royal expert Nick Bullen said the royal baby will play a key role.

Mr Bullen said he believed Meghan and Harry’s daughter will help the Royal Family put aside its differences.

He told US Weekly: “The birth of a baby is always a great unifier for a family and I’m sure all sides of the Sussex family will want to celebrate with Harry and Meghan.”

The expert, who is editor in chief and cofounder of True Royalty TV, said he also expects the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to introduce the baby to the Queen on a video call soon after the birth.

He said: “I think you can be absolutely certain that Harry and Meghan will be jumping on a Zoom call to introduce Her Majesty to her 11th great-grandchild.”

Meghan and Harry revealed the news of the pregnancy in February, by sharing a photo of the couple that highlighted Meghan’s bump.

The black and white image, taken by their friend Misan Harriman, showed Meghan laying with her head in Harry’s lap.

The Duchess looks up at Harry lovingly, while he lays his hand on her head.

Sharing the photo on social media, Mr Harriman wrote: “Meg, I was there at your wedding to witness this love story begin, and my friend, I am honoured to capture it grow.

Harry said: “To have any child, any one or any two, would have been amazing.

“But to have a boy and then a girl, I mean what more can you ask for?

“Now we’ve got our family, we got the four of us and our two dogs.”

In keeping with royal tradition, the couple has not shared their due date with the public and simply said the girl is due “in the summertime”.
